The severity of the economic situation both globally and locally appears to be having a direct impact on the emergence and inequitable distribution of communicable and non-communicable disease in New Zealand.

This years Symposium will look at the interrelationship between epidemics, economics and how these factors impact on equitable outcomes in health. What can Public Health and Health Promotion practice learn from the evidence?
